  1. I’d pay 2.99 from Amazon.

    You go to Amazon, look at the pre-owned option, and select the 2.98 postage and 0.01 actual cost option, and buy that. The book you receive is nearly always near mint anyway.

    I’m tight with money like that. Of course I was brought up to believe that a brand new paperback was two to four quid, and a brand new hardback of a full novel by a major writer was seven to nine quid. I’ve never really moved on from that. Coffee table books should be more towards the paperback pricing than the major author price too.
