Hot or cold?

Did you have turkey at Christmas?  Is it still hanging around – if so, have a look at this. If it’s driving you to drink have a look at this.

This north American woodland species was once nearly extinct because of overhunting but now is a common sight in many US states.

How many feathers do they have? How fast can they run and fly?

  1. Indeed we did, a 15 pounder raised locally. It cost £45 and fed 8 of us for lunch and tea on Xmas day, cold turkey and chips on Boxing day and made an excellent broth on Tuesday. Its now long gone sadly and we won't be having another until next Xmas. I keep 6 hens and have thought about raising a few turkeys for next Xmas. Does anyone have any tips, for instance the minimum number to keep, the tastiest variety, the age at which to acquire them for max survival given the close proximity of chickens and a recommended supplier?
