In contrast to the mess that is UKIP, the Green Party seems to be fully engaged with doing their best to highlight and sort out the massacre of spring migrants on Malta.
The UK has two Green Party MEPs; Keith Taylor MEP (Southeast England) and Jean Lambert MEP (London). Both feature the Malta Migrant Massacre on their websites – Keith Taylor and Jean Lambert. Both signed the Birdlife Malta letter to the Environment Commissioner.

I wrote to all my MEPs on Tuesday and as yet have only had a reply from Anthea McIntyre on behalf of the three WM Conservative MEPs (I gather they divide responsibilities in the region by county).
I won’t paste it all here but I have to say that her reply was supportive and informed, referring to a pertinent question asked in Feb by Julie Girling MEP of Commissioner Potocnik. The Commissioner’s answer was a bit equivocal (recognises that there is no easy solution but that pressure on Malta has led to an agreement that the autumn hunting season be monitored by EU officials). Not great but it does leave me with some faith that continued pressure might ultimately pay dividends.
