It’s taken quite a while (nearly three months) to add the latest 1,000 signatures to our e-petition to ban driven grouse shooting but yesterday it passed 21,000 signatures and there are still three weeks to go. These e-petitions usually get a little bit of a boost as the deadline approaches so we’ll see…

Thank you to all who have promoted it (especially Chris Packham, the League Against Cruel Sports, the Green Party of England and Wales, Birdwatch magazine, Lush and Rare Bird Alert) but also a lot of ‘ordinary’ people who have been extraordinarily active on social media.
The success of this e-petition has, to a large extent, been a social media success.
