Please let me know…

Several people have told me (thank you all!) that when they look at the top of this page then one of the options is for Viagra in the USA!!

The thing is, I don’t see that on my PC or phone – how about you?
A new meaning for ‘Standing up for nature’?

  1. Viagra no, just Pestokill.co.uk ‘Professional Installations of all bird deterrent systems for 25 yrs’ and an advert for a company promoting very expensive looking Russian woman.

        1. Giles – I do hope that you are not insinuating that Mrs Moss has been searching for ‘bird deterrent systems’ ?

  2. It says ‘viagra in us’ what do you mean by ‘us’? I’ll follow your lead in many things Mark but that is just a wee bit too far! Sorry!

  3. Yes I can see it just below Home and About in the top left corner.
I’m using my iPod at the moment, but it’s also there on my mac computer.

  4. I get an advert for bat detectors and Vodafone. To be honest, the people who are “commenting” about the Viagra adverts probably only have themselves to blame: google ads typically inspect cookies already on your computer left by previous browsing sessions, and deliver “relevant” ads. Laxt year, I bought a couple of ragwort forks, and was plagued by ads on your blog about horse and stable supplies… “By your ads shall we know your browsing habits” Or those of your nearest and dearest 🙂

  5. Yes but in the other corner it says “Standing up for nature”. Linked?

  6. Ah, I see. It’s not an advert — please ignore previous comment. I think you’ve been hacked Mark… Extreme top left of screen…

Time to change password, and review blog template?

    Neither comment for publication…

  7. Definitely Viagra in us. Perhaps it means things are looking up! But with the Tories back in it’s more likely ‘hard times ahead’

  8. Yep, its there, but don’t know how long it’s been there. Don’t think I’d have noticed it if you hadn’t pointed it out!

  9. As I was one of the people who informed you of it with a screenshot from my phone this morning, you’ll know that yes… I see the “hack tab” at my end (so to speak).

    Consider yourself fortunate though Mark.

The tabs at the top of your blog (HOME – ABOUT – BLOG – BOOKS AND OTHER WRITING etc etc) are repeated in order at the bottom of the page.
Only MARK AVERY POWERED BY WORDPRESS AND SHAAN (at the bottom) has been replaced with VIAGRA IN US (at the top).

Looks like the template has been hacked. Quite well.
A tad clumsier hack might have produced a tab which could have read:
MARK AVERY POWERED BY WORDPRESS AND VIAGRA SHAANUS.

    Every cloud.

  10. Nothing at all – no ads, Tw*tface, nothing. I guess all the Firefox blocking add-ins are working as they should. But the formatting of the Lost Leaders blog is all over the place and there are two missing comments.

  11. Yes, it is in the main pale blue area, above your name and below the darker blue strip with the proper links. The typeface has the same tint as the reversed type in the “links” – i.e. it is not completely “white” as the reversed type for Mark Avery & Standing Up For Nature.

      1. Ignore my comment @ 11.23. I see it now – it’s a template hack as per Doug McD comment

  12. Firefox is not the answer as that is what I am using and I can see the ‘Viagra in US’ link.

Maybe its something to do with the need to stiffen our resolve, gird our loins etc? (Sorry, someone had to…).

  13. I see “VIAGRA IN US” on my PC (both Chrome and Internet Explorer), but not on my Android phone.

  14. Oh, yes, now you mention it. It’s there on my PC (Internet Explorer). But quite inconspicuous, so I’m not sure if it’s come up on earlier blogs or if it’s a recent addition.

  15. I use Firefox and I can see it on my PC! Top right next to “Contact”

  16. On mine to, my wife thinks it’s hilarious. She just placed an order!!

  17. Got it on PC (Internet Explorer) and same web address as Graeme Walker comment. Hovering over it the text doesn’t turn white as your genuine links do.

  18. Hi Mark – think it may be browser-specific. i see it using firefox on a mac but not when looking at your blog through chrome on an old PC….
    hmm technology.
