I hope I might see a few readers of this blog on the streets of London tomorrow.
Politician work for us – but as with everything, they must be made to listen. We live in a democracy – take to the streets to make your voice heard and to show your support for a better future.

You missed out the (important) words “democratically” and “elected” before “politicians” Ralph.
It is “us” who elected our policy-makers after all.
So are the (all-too-easily-blamed) “politicians” at fault or actually “us”?
And are we as “unfortunate” as you write?
Whoever told you that Ralph? Politicians work for themselves, like most folk. The difference is they convince you they work for you.
Sadly I don’t find them particularly convincing when they try to suggest that they work for us / represent us. The only time they appear remotely interested is at five yearly intervals and even then, sadly a two horse race.
Recent correspondence received back after reasoned cases put to them on a wide range of topics has seen poor quality replies and even worse from the Ministers they contacted, so they work for us – are you sure?
Time that a good proportion of the Commons and a hefty reduction in the second palatial chamber was delivered, or is that another forgotten promise?
