But what can be done about Leicester East? Only 4 signatures. And no copies of “Inglorious” in either Leicester libraries or Leicester Uni library. Anyone out there with friends/relatives/contacts in Leicester East constituency? Could you get an invite to give a talk there, Mark? Or know any newsletters, local magazines which could print an article about moorland conflicts? I mean David Attenborough is from Leicester.
And then there’s the West Midlands.
Are these MPs supporting your petition – I wonder why Scottish MPs would bother when it is devolved to Holyrood so I suspect not
Geva – hello! Your first comment. No suggestion that the MPs are supporting the e-petition – just naming them as well as those constituencies which have shown greatest support so far.
Yes, we’ve discussed that on 4 April https://markavery.info/2016/04/04/thank-you-scotland/ and the fact that most Scots want a ban on driven grouse shooting on 15 April https://markavery.info/2016/04/15/scots-want-ban-driven-grouse-shooting/
Great to see that a Conservative constituency is top of the rankings and leading the way with another ten in the top 20, a message to the Con MPs & Govt perhaps?
I doubt the Tories would listen much. Thanks to the shenanigans of the Lib Dems in the Coalition they no longer have to keep their finger on the pulse in case of a snap election, but can relax because they only need pretend they care once every five years when they lie to us in order to keep themselves in power and ruling over us peasants. Thanks Nick Clegg, you made the UK even less democratic than it was; an impressive feat.
Great to see that Bridgwater has joined the 100 club now. Seat of one of the Tory party’s more idiotic frothers.
John – yes indeed. I’m sure Ian Liddell-Grainger will be thrilled that his constituents have put him in the 100 club. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ian_Liddell-Grainger
880 mountain gorillas left in the wild. Yes 880! They need help- can’t you refocus your energy into something that really needs our help?? Ok some grouse are shot – and dare I say it, they are eaten too, but their population and local habitat seems to be doing just fine.
Roland – welcome and thank you for your comment. But yiou have some catching up to do if you are to understand this issue.
Classic ‘whataboutery’.
