49,000 signatures

49000 signatures. That sounds very close to 50,000 signatures. And that is half way to 100,000 signatures. And that gets us a debate on the future of grouse shooting in the Westminster parliament and much more understanding of the problems caused by the hobby of a few at the expense of the many.

Here, in only roughly numerical order, are the 111 constituencies which have provided at least 100 signatures to our cause.  What a lot of Tory seats! What a lot of rural seats! What a lot of seats in grouse shooting areas!

But look at the bottom of the list – the most recent additions have been Labour seats.

There is quite a queue of seats poised to join this list over the next few days.  However, I might find another way to update you on progress because this list is becoming too long to be manageable – a sign of success.

When will the Calder Valley reach 300 signatures?

Will it be a Scottish or English grouse moor constituency that next passes 200 signatures?

Can you find a few more of your friends to sign our petition to ban driven grouse shooting?

    Monmouthshire & District National Eisteddfod 29 July – 6 August 2016

    Brecon Jazz Festival 12 – 14 August 2016

  2. I love seeing how your campaign has kept me informed of its progression . Posting out to others who have seen the momentum grow has been a pleasure, and an encouragement for other people to bring about a change long needed. Thank you.

  3. I came across this snippet;

    ‘Migrant camp’ (knife-wielding migrants, mind, 700 complaints to the council, Britain First leafleting) reported by retired gamekeeper (Alan Daniels – not his real name apparently- aged 66), who knows the woods ‘like the back of his hand’

    turns out to be a children’s tree house.
    Nottinghamshire Police and the Forestry Commission also confirmed there have never been any migrant camps in Sherwood Forest.
