I keep an eye on the ups and downs of the politicians who have played any part in the debates over the future of driven grouse shooting and other topics which interest me.
Four MPs are being investigated by the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards – two of the four are Conservative MPs with seats in Wales who took part in the evidence session and the Westminster Hall debate on driven grouse shooting. The MPs in question are Simon Hart and Chris Davies.
Here is the Code of Conduct and the relevant passage is paragraph 15 which states;
‘Members are personally responsible and accountable for ensuring that their use of any expenses, allowances, facilities and services provided from the public purse is in accordance with the rules laid down on these matters. Members shall ensure that their use of public resources is always in support of their parliamentary duties. It should not confer any undue personal or financial benefit on themselves or anyone else, or confer undue advantage on a political organisation.’.
Interesting!
Update: Simon Hart MP has now been cleared.

Here is another ‘terribly nice chap‘
Anand – I did see that too. Was it the nastiest of Tories who turned up to defend driven grouse shooting?
Seems so.
Glad i found an opportunity to shoe-horn it in.
No Mark I don’t think so, they are mostly cut from the same shabby cloth, made by a company called hypocrisy I believe.
Products of their upbringing.
