Each of these events was organised by an individual or individuals, mostly as volunteers (though RSPB staff will have played an important part in several), and mostly through a desire to highlight the plight of the Hen Harrier.
Thanks, obviously, to Birders Against Wildlife Crime for their coordinating and facilitating role.
