Peak District update

I’m grateful to the NT in the Peak District who have forwarded my contact details to their shooting tenants in the Peak District  just in case any of them would like to have their grouse shooting filmed over the next few weeks. I’ll let you know if I hear from any of them.

The NT also say that ‘…our leases require our tenants to carry out their shoot in a way that is compatible with and sensitive to public rights of access.  I am not aware of any complaints received related to shoot days.‘ which is good to hear.

  1. good and bad – might have been a ore interesting blog post if there had been complaints

  2. Who knows they may be exemplary shooters, no bad apples in their barrel(s)? It is good that they have been invited to be involved in recording for posterity their ‘traditional’ sporting activities, if their conduct is legal why would they not?

OK there’s a part of me that thinks, film regardless especially if camera is operating legally but like most folk I prefer to be non-confrontational. Pushed into a corner by incalcitrant on-going criminality then that’s a different matter altogether.

Perhaps an infamous inglorious celebrity could front a short commentary or Q&A session against a backdrop of slaughter, ooops sport?
