This week I am giving a talk at a local (fairly local) school about being a biologist on Wednesday and talking to the Bucks Bird Club in Wendover on Thursday evening.
I am meeting various friends in London on Friday and am expecting to have recovered from that experience in time to attend the RSPB’s AGM on Saturday (the AGM is free but you are asked to register ahead of time – I have). Actually I was torn between the RSPB’s AGM and the AGM of my local Wildlife Trust where Patrick Barkham is speaking (and I’m sure the AGM will be fascinating too).
It is AGM time of year – remember the National Trust AGM is on 21 October and if you are a member you can vote on resolutions and Council membership in person on the day but if you want to vote online or by post then you have until Friday 13th (unlucky for some?) to do so.

HI Mark enjoy the RSPB AGM
John – many thanks!
See you Saturday Mark. Could be interesting AGM.
Richard – happy birthday!
Really looking forward to Thursday and listening to Mark; I am not sure what, normal folk who enjoy watching our wildlife, would do without folk like Mark and Chris Packham, showing other NGO’s how to be heard so folk actually listen and react.
Will you have some ‘interesting’ questions for former colleagues?
