Actor Peter Egan says:
‘I support a ban of driven grouse shooting because I hate all hunting and shooting of wild animals. I’ve never seen a Hen Harrier, other than in photographs, they look like wonderful birds to me. A natural predator, they eat Red Grouse, Hen Harriers are literally being brutally wiped out so that unnatural predators, the so-called sportsmen, can have fun killing Red Grouse themselves. It is unnatural, it is repugnant. Please join me and sign the e-petition.‘
To join Peter Egan, please sign Gavin Gamble’s e-petition which calls for a ban on driven grouse shooting.

Driven grouse shooting, is not only unfair and unecessary supposed hunting sport but it’s also harmful to other birds and wildlife in the surrounding area.
You get a wild creature and it is so pure, clean and clinical, much better at it than we could ever hope to be. With it’s dogged persistence, its grace and pure hard work, it lives it’s life and raises it’s offspring on the very edge of possibility. Nothing is more like this than a Hen Harrier.
I don’t know if it is borne out of resentment, or that people are not really in control of their own lives, but this creature of the moors and bogs, lives on the edge of possibility whilst being harvested by gamekeepers as well. And Why? So the very rich can brag about their Red grouse kill rates, over port.
Ban driven grouse shooting. Leave them alone to live their lives in peace!
