Wild Justice and Bird Fair invite Fieldsports Channel to ask their questions

Chris Packham and I were invited to the Game Fair today to face questions, in front of a Game Fair audience, from Charlie Jacoby of the Fieldsports Channel – and then the invitation was rudely withdrawn by the likes of the Countryside Alliance, BASC and GWCT (see here, here, here).

After a bit of fixing yesterday, Wild Justice and the Bird Fair would like to invite Charlie Jacoby to ask his questions of Ruth Tingay, Chris Packham and me at the Bird Fair, at Rutland Water on Saturday lunch time 17 August.

Charlie – we hope you can make it and the Bird Fair will make you feel very safe and very welcome.

  1. I’m sure that it is a serious invitation, and he would not later be uninvited.
I do, however, find this invitation highly amusing.

  2. It looks as if the FC has accepted the invitation! They’ve left a tweet on Chris’s Twitter account. Interesting times.

  3. Will there be a livestream of this event or at least a recording which is not edited by FC? I will look forward to watching it.

  4. I’m still a little unfair why Chris and mark can’t go to the game fair if they want to. Lots of people don’t get to appear in formal debates but that doesn’t stop them from turning up. If there really is a risk of violence maybe just don false beards and dark glasses .

  5. Is this where we all come in and say of course he’ll take up the invitation, it’s what he’s income is derived from and he should be able to make a fast buck out of it. Or are we to now throw in all manner of false accusations and misquotes, acuse him of bizarre motives; or do we just simply get on with trolling? Nah, just not in our style.

  6. Chris Packham has an air of sarcasm about him in his latest tweet about not being invited to the game fair . It’s no wonder that some people like myself (who don’t shoot ), don’t warm to him …
