RSPB local groups – another example

I am ******** ************, Group Leader of the Rspb *********************** Group, based at **** **** *****.

Thank you for your email on a very important topic. I don’t have any problem forwarding to our members and friends. Literally just have, including it into our monthly mailing.

As Rspb members and Local group members, we have to think for ourselves and not just follow the official Rspb line. As long as we can see all the arguments we can make our own minds up.

I must admit there is a lot I don’t agree with the Rspb on! That is the trouble with a very large organisation (and charity) , politics get increasingly in the way.

I did actually receive an official statement from the Rspb today sent to Groups, on their official policy. Guess this is a result of your email!

Please sign this e-petition by Chris Packham calling for a ban of driven grouse shooting.

  1. I must have missed where you (if you have) advised that you had emailed local RSPB groups.
    That is an excellent idea.
Why not the Wildlife trusts, or perhaps you have already done so?

  2. I was both a YOC & RSPB member. The latter for 20 odd years. But due to a lack of commitment by the organisation to focus on the very serious raptor persecution issue I stopped my membership.
