Virtual travel

You might be stuck in doors, so why not take a journey with Ian Carter to the Hebrides via The Fens and Devon, or with me from Washington DC to Los Angeles, or, again with me, from Houston Texas back to Houston Texas via New York State and California – all collated blog collections you can find by clicking here.

  1. By cutting my carb intake to naught but an couple of slices of wholemeal toast of a morning, with full-fat Marmite and butter, I have managed to control my vast bulk (medical term according to a ENT Consultant in Weston-super-Mare) so that I do not get stuck in doors.

But I do like to take the odd virtual trip especially down the Highway that’s the Best. And I’ve been from Tucson to Tucumcari and Tehachapi to Tonapah, gathering virtually pointless but interesting information on the way and having at least one WtF! moment that I found quite Spooky.

      1. Just give me the butter, Marmite yuk! ( my late brother used to call it devils poo!)

        1. Marmite comes in several jar sizes and flavours and consistencies and even has a low salt version and peanut butter. He’s some pooper, that Old Nick.

  2. Thanks Mark, started reading your 2011 US road trip, it’s better than Bill Bryson, especially after a bourbon whisky or two!!

  3. Ian Carter’s experiment in technological detox on the Hebridean island was certainly very interesting. Limiting yourself to face to face communication, not commenting on blogs etc.!
