Where are they now…?

I’m still worried about Amanda Anderson and the Moorland Association. I did hear that Amanda was sighted on a zoom call by DEFRA staff a while ago but the image was fuzzy and the normal incessant calling associated with this species was lacking – so it’s not really an acceptable record. The Moorland Association Twitter account has not re-emerged and the website is pretty quiet.

And at GWCT they seem to have adopted a slightly different personality. Andrew Gilruth has been rather quiet for weeks and the GWCT Twitter account is full of farmland birds (including Grey Partridge and Pheasant of course) and doesn’t seem to be having a dig at anyone.

It’s all very strange. Quite nice though… I wonder how long it can last?

  2. I’ll give it until when DEFRA / NE release this year’s HH breeding news (minus all the persecution incidents of course).

  3. Perhaps she’s self-isolating in a “bubble” with Heather Hancock?
