If you go to the APHA website you’ll find this map of the location;

Birders will recognise the area as Sandwich Bay with its Bird Observatory.

I remember standing on the road which runs throughthe pink circle and looking west at an enclosure which we were told had some Beavers in it. Whereas the area to the north and east of the road, some of which might well be within that red circle, was an area of wetland tha tthe RSPB was buying – in fact I remember having a chat to the owners in their farmyard somewhere nearby that was probably Worth (to the north of the red cicrle).

So, an area of wetland which has lots of waterfowl in it. Hmmm.

  1. Could the 62million+ gamebirds reared intensively and shuffled all round the country, then released outdoors have anything to do with the spread of bird flu I wonder?
    I’m sure all those objective, rational people who love blasting living creatures out of the sky for fun would deny it. (So it’s almost certainly true.)
