Disturbingly relevant
It’s well done…but does not show any signs of the ecological changes that would follow. It would not be Savannah without the animals that maintain the savannah.
Like the American prairie. When man arrived 15,000 years ago (coinciding with the extinction) they were as rich as the Serengeti: Mammoths, mastodons, Saber tooth tigers, camels, horses, gigantic ground sloths. and now it is all farmland.
of course it’s already happened in the UK, and then they built Birmingham on the savannah
Not sure it’s trying to say anything about the future ecology of the savannah but is simply highlighting the disappearance of its current inhabitants. As such it’s well done and welcome.
