“Inglorious” stocked in Ilkley Library and on order at Manningham Library. Are you registered for Public Lending Rights, Mark? You get 6.6p per borrower, I think. Every little helps, as they say.
Northern Diver – many thanks! I am registered for other books, but not yet for Inglorious (or Behind the Binoculars either). Thanks for the reminder!
And I was in Ilkley on Thursday evening…in the Crescent Inn actually.
Glad to hear you survived the Game Fair. If we’d have known you were in Ilkley we would have bought you a pint – but maybe you were “incognito” in enemy territory?
Ilkley Moor has the dubious distinction of being the only publicly owned grouse moor in England. We are trying to change that – especially as local people clubbed together in the 19th century to buy the moor to get access and stop the grouse shooters! Bradford Council, who took over management of the moor, ‘sold out’ and allowed grouse shoots back again for the extra income (£10,000). Shame.
Northern Diver – I had a look at Ilkley Moor (I was not wearing a hat) before heading to Harewood House for the Game Fair (about which, more tomorrow).
