I am grateful to my MP, Tom Pursglove, for a rapid response to my letter and for contacting Liz Truss at Defra on my behalf. I’ll be interested to see what she comes up with.
I suspect there will be no reply until Defra has got around to responding to the e-petition on banning driven grouse shooting which passed 10,000 signatures 40 days ago but has had no response from the somnolent Defra.
Yesterday our e-petition passed the 17,000 signature milestone. Many thanks to everyone who has signed!
And A copy of Inglorious is also on its way to Tom Pursglove, as he requested.

It will probably take them a while due to them have a blindfold on, their fingers in their ears and shouting ‘lalalalala’!
& to a chorus no doubt of “go back, go back, go back”?
Not particularly subtle Mark, so could you put a link in https://www.rspb.org.uk/discoverandenjoynature/discoverandlearn/birdguide/name/r/redgrouse/ to the call of Red Grouse please? Might help the defra staff not party to games in butts ….
Jeremy Corbyn could do with a copy. He mentioned the environment in his maiden speech as leader.
I will send a little e mail to Rory Stewart (my MP) and give him a prod,as he is now in DEFRA. I noticed that he was at the recent event with the RSPB. I imagine he comes under quite some pressure from our opponents.
