Small steps

1. Early Day Motion 915 praising brood-meddling has not gathered any further support! In fact it is worse than that for its proposers, a Labour MP added his name and then removed it! So we see an EDM on the actions of NE and Defra whose only supporters are four DUP MPs and one SNP MP. Not even Nicholas Soames or Simon Hart have signed up.

2. The application for a track across Walshaw Moor has been withdrawn from the Pendle planning portal. Yippee!  I’d love to think that this is because this blog, and our good friend the wonderful Bob Berzins, has got the Walshaw Moor Estate and Natural England running scared. But I suspect that there are more prosaic reasons and that the application will be back soon.  But then, so will we! See below

3. I had a very productive discussion with some very clever people in London yesterday – more on this very soon.

  1. No reply yet from my DUP MP David Simpson concerning the EDM915. I wonder will he ever reply..?
At least, as you say, it has not done very well otherwise!

  2. …Damn it all chaps, looks like we’ve been rumbled by that dastardly green blob. Back to the drawing board. I’ll have a word with a jolly good chap I know in Westminster. Chin chin….

  3. Sorry Mark, coming to this a bit late but who is the SNP MP? I can feel letter or two coming on.
