You might remember a few blogs about the proposal to build an intensive broiler unit locally to me (Local issue – further comments, 1 December 2017; Local issue – seems I was right (2), 2 November 2017; Local issue – seems I was right (1), 1 November 2017; Local – bird records, 26 October 2017; Local issue – Higham Ferrers and Rushden, Northants, 30 September 2017).
This evening the report will be presented to East Northants councillors and their recommendation is for the proposal to be rejected. I’m pleased – let’s hope it is. Having said that, there is no recognition of the wildlife issues in the report.

Hey! Well done for getting a ‘rejection’ from the officers. Even if wildlife has been overlooked again:-( When you have suffered the defeats I have, support from the officers is a very welcome change.
