As a life long republican I think a “royal” wedding is an irrelevance to peoples real lives in the UK today, the powers that be probably think otherwise. Ordinary folk pledge their love to each other in such ceremonies everyday, weddings are hardly newsworthy. Its just a pretty American girl marrying a possible wildlife criminal. The whole family remains a problem as is the institution of a monarchy. I love my country but would much rather not have this pinnacle of inherited inequality and be a citizen not a subject, although most of the time its not that important. Today the undemocratic parasites we support increased by one that’s all.
