SNH has so far failed to produce the review of wild hacking that they promised for last week – and ahead of finalising any licensing decision.
I understand that there is activity around the hacking boxes in Moray – almost as if the licence applicants were expecting to get the go-ahead soon…
Lockdown requirements in Scotland are still more stringent than in England.
SNH hasn’t yet completed a review of what happened in June-August last year? Really?

Anyone know if there are any legal protections for these birds?
Given that they will be closed ringed which will clearly identify the owners they will I assume be protected under the Scottish Law equivalent of the Theft Act.
Stuart – not at all clear what the status of these birds is. Many are reportedly hybids.
