Leadhills plus

This news item is interesting – a potential community buy-out at Leadhills brought to us by Raptor Persecution Scotland.

I’d chip in £50 to the community, as would many other birders I guess.

John Armitage’s e-petition has taken a bit of a leap forward in the last few days and is now at 7596 signatures.  Please sign if you think it is a good idea and please bring it to the notice of others.

And here is the type of reason why raptors need stronger protection (although I know nothing about this particular case).

  1. Put me down for £50, too - and if we get payment by results, I wonder how much England's only successful Hen Harriers would be worth - enough to protect them + manage the moors ?

  2. I'm actually one of the group proposing this.
The meeting is 2.30pm on Saturday. Anyone localish please turn up if you are around as the passionate voices the better!!
