Waitrose you are rubbish!

I wrote to Waitrose on 26 November and they haven’t been able to come up with a response in all that time – just this …

Dear Dr Avery

Please accept my apologies on my behalf my colleague for incorrectly addressing you.

I’ve asked our technical team if they have anything further to add and we’ll be back in touch.

Kind regards

My response …

Waitrose – you are rubbish! You have taken over 6 weeks to come up with nothing so far. I used to think that you were a good company – now I think you are totally untrustworthy and/or totally inept. I still want a response from you, please.

  1. Quite agree, absolute rubbish Waitrose. I shall shop else where until this “outfit comes clean” and does the right thing on this matter of lead shot contamination.

  2. I have been in contact with Waitrose on their plastics recycling policy a number of times;there being the irony of their Duchy organic vegetables being wrapped in non recyclable plastic. I have received the same lame sort of brush off so it seems to be a common Waitrose policy.
We now collect all our Waitrose non rcyclable plastic and return it to the store for them to deal with.

  3. I find it difficult to believe that Waitrose have been so offhand and crass about this, it smacks of very poor customer services and liaison. From what Gerald writes above this may be a general malaise, I’ve never, no thinking about it I have shopped there once, but will not be doing so again.

  4. ….did you buy the pheasant breast, Mark?…. Or is this just a part of your “plan of attack”?

    1. I’m sure he would have done, likewise for the rest of us meat eaters if, only, it was guaranteed to have been shot with non-toxic ammunition.

Quite simply, if it was not for the legal and illegal mass killing of native wildlife associated with game bird shoot managment, and the use of toxins in the production of game meat I’m sure demand would soon out strip supply.
