The photograph shows a perfectly legally set (I believe) funnel trap which is one of a series along a scenic tourist route in the Cairngorms National Park.  The trap is along the A939 Grantown on Spey to Bridge of Brown road (Grid Ref NJ086204).  The estate is Glenlochy (managed by M. Henry visits Conon Bridge

We are still waiting for an announcement from the police on what actually happened when 14 Red Kites and 5 buzzards were poisoned near Inverness about 18 months ago.   Henry tells me that he is looking forward to his first visit to the Bird Fair this weekend. Ban driven grouse shooting.

These fenn traps get everywhere – even attached to lambs. Where might that trap have been set to end up here?
